MINISTER SADHAN PANDE VISITED ATDC KOLKATA

Webdesk, TNI Kolkata, 07th September, 2015: The Honorable Minister In Charge of Self Help Group & Self Employment (SHG &SE) Department, Government of West Bengal Mr. Sadhan Pande along with many other dignitaries paid an official visit at Apparel Training & Design Centre(ATDC), Kolkata. The dignitaries were welcomed by Mr. Amitava Roy, State Coordinator along with, Superintendent, ATDC- Kolkata & Mr. Ranjan Dasgupta, Additional Director of Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), Kolkata. The Hon’ble minister visited various laboratories like the Cad Lab, General Sewing Machine Lab, Special Machine Lab, Textile Lab, etc. During his visit, he interacted with the trainees. After completion of his visit, he chaired a brief discussion with the officials of ATDC & AEPC Kolkata. Shri Sadhan Pande said,”I am highly impressed with the quality of training ATDC  imparting for conducting a skill  development training program for the unemployed youth of West Bengal with such good post- training industrial placement benefits in Kolkata and other industries in India”. At his concluding speech, the Honorable Minister has proposed to sponsor another 100 nos. of youths in 3 to 4 batches from his department for 1-year diploma program at ATDC, Kolkata. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr. Sadiq Uz Zaman, Deputy Director, SHG &SE, Govt. of West Bengal; Mr. Hari Kapoor, VC, ATDC; Dr. Darlie Koshy, DG & CEO ATDC & IAM (Institute of Apparel Management).
